These are the motifs of the Mutt collection. We reject machine replication. Nothing is printed. Every image is created freehand using a reductive bleach process that burns the design directly into the fiber. The art has zero hand-feel and breathes with the garment because it is the garment.
We do not use cheap wholesale blanks. We hunt for vintage and upcycled cotton that already carries a soul. We look for specific fades, heavyweight fleece, and broken-in denim.
Every CILI piece is hand-painted with synthetic brushes. Once the art is complete, the garment undergoes a museum-grade neutralization process to halt the chemical reaction and balance the pH.
Treat it like art, wear it like armor.
• Wash Cold: Gentle cycle, inside out.
• Hang Dry: Heat is the enemy of vintage cotton.
• No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid bleach or Oxi-boosters.
With proper care, the artwork will settle into a subtle patina over time.
CILI is built to last, but it is not meant to stay perfect. The clothes shift, fade, and break in the same way you do. That is what makes them alive.
